Sungate - White Zinfandel

Sun Gate is the product of expert negociants who have selected, vinified and blended to create a consistent rose wine in perfect conditions. Zinfandel grapes, ideally suited to the Californian climate, are selected from across the vineyards of California’s Central Valley and are carefully vinified for a short time before removing the grape skins. Although Zinfandel is a red grape variety, the rose version is confusingly named White Zinfandel.

Tasting Notes

A deep pink rose that offers an attractive bouquet redolent of summer fruits including strawberries, raspberries and watermelon. The palate is medium bodied with a hint of sweetness and flavours of red cherries, raspberries and strawberries and cream. The confected fruit flavours are balanced by a refreshing acidity and linger on a crisp finish. The wine is made with protective techniques to ensure the fresh character of fruit comes through.
